	October 2004   Oct. 4 Nicole Etcheson discusses the impact of the Kansas-Nebraska Act, most particularly on Nebraska and compare events from the 1850s in Nebraska and Kansas, Lincoln.    Oct. 11 "The Meeting of Two Cultures: The Expedition of Lewis and Clark," focuses on food and cooking on the expedition, Wayne.    Oct. 15 "1st Annual Mari Sandoz Festival," featuring young Mari Sandoz authors in art of creative writing, playwriting, living history, and oral history through multidisciplinary approach, Chadron.    Oct. 25 Walter Rucker speaks on the African American perspective regarding passage and implementation of the Kansas-Nebraska Act, Lincoln.    November 2004   Nov. 8 A panel discussion of scholars featuring James Rawley, Phillip Paludan, Tekla Johnson and Kenneth Winkle discuss the Kansas-Nebraska Act, Lincoln.    Nov. 8 "The Meeting of Two Cultures: The Expedition of Lewis and Clark," focuses on technology, the Corps to the Northwest and the Indians, Wayne.    top
