positions
or points of view. All NHC programs must be balanced.

possible.
- Speakers
Bureau final
reports must be received by the NHC no more than 10 days after the

(the NHC will send the organization a publicity packet after the
request
form is processed).
- The
organization must
pay a $50 processing fee ($100 for the second program in a calendar year) that accompanies the application form. The following
high-use speakers have a $75
processing fee: Dale Clark, Darrel Draper, Charlotte Endorf, and Chris Sayre. Applications
will NOT be processed without this fee.
A $100 processing fee also is required if the second program is for a

Speakers
Bureau program should be returned with the final report.
- Individuals
interested
in making a gift at a later date should be encouraged to contact the
NHC
office directly.
- The
NHC
requires a notice
of the cancellation of a program at least 15 days before the program,
or
the organization forfeits the processing fee.
- If an
organization fails
to contact the speaker about the cancellation of a program, the
organization
is responsible for paying the speaker honorarium and travel cost in
full.
- The
organization must
have a promotional/marketing plan for the program.
- Organizations are
responsible
for paying speaker
honoraria and mileage over $500. For example, if the honorarium and
mileage
total $540, the NHC pays $500 and the organization pays $40. This does
not include the processing fee.
- Failure
to comply
with NHC Speakers Bureau policies can result in the organization not
receiving
future funding from the NHC.
